I have a lamp on my bedside table that has a mirrored shade and Hayden loves to look at himself while I am burping him. He thinks it is so funny when I ask him, "Who is that? Is that mommy and Hayden?"

Day 24 - Best Dressed Baby

I forgot to add yesterday that we had his 2 month well baby check-up. He now weighs 12lbs 15oz (62nd percentile) and is 23 inches long(40th percentile). An Airman measured him so I know he is longer than this and the doctor offered to re-measure him but I didn't want to because Hayden cried the first time.

I said that I was going to wait until Hayden sleeps through the night before I start putting him in his crib. Well I have read that some babies do not do this until 9 months, or even longer, so I guess I better get him used to his crib. We will see if he sleeps well there tonight.

Day 8 - Hayden Sporting His Cloth

Hayden and I love using cloth diapers! They are the best investment I think we have made and I new we were going to be using cloth diapers as soon as I got pregnant. They are an investment at first but we will probably end up saving over $2,000, and as much as $5,000, just by using them with subsequent children. They are easy to wash, easy on the go, and oh so cute! We even use cloth wipes to save even more money and they are no problem at all. Cloth diapers have come a long way in the past 30 years. I just cannot say enough about them!

I almost forgot to mention they are better for the environment and you are not putting chemicals like Dioxin (known to cause cancer) against your baby's skin.

Wow I have been seriously slacking on my blog. Hayden Nicholas Banz was born July 16th 2009 at 6:56 pm. He was 8lbs 1oz ans 22 inches long. I will make up for my slacking by starting 365 days of Hayden. I promise to post one picture of Hayden every day for 365 days. Lets see how much he grows in one year.
